24-01 St. Marys Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement The project consists of the replacement of storm sewer on St. Marys Avenue near Harmon Park. State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates apply. Question Deadline 01/29/2024 at 1:00 PM ET Any and all questions regarding the referenced project must be submitted through the online website. Questions submitted outside of online will not be answered. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Sidney reserves the right to waive any irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the bidder deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Sidney. The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the minimum prevailing wage rates for public improvements in Shelby County and the City of Sidney, Ohio as established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The undersigned bidder has carefully examined the site of the proposed work, the schedule of current State prevailing wage rates, and the form of the Contract, the General Conditions, the Specifications, and the Plans for 24-01 St. Marys Avenue Storm Sewer Replacement as described and referred to in the Legal Notice and Instructions to Bidders. The bidder agrees to provide all necessary tools, machinery, equipment, labor and materials as required in the Specifications, General Provisions, and Plans for the Bid Form total as shown in the Bid Form section. All work shall be done under the direction of the City Public Works Director or designee of the City for the unit prices set opposite the respective items, and these prices will be accepted as full compensation for all necessary tools, machinery, equipment, labor, and materials furnished. The undersigned bidder understands that the quantities shown are approximate and are subject to increase or decrease at the unit price stated unless otherwise agreed upon by City and modified by change order. The undersigned bidder states that he/she/they is/are the only person(s) interested in the bid and agrees that shall all or any bids be accepted, to enter into a prescribed contract within seven (7) business days of the written Notice of Award for the faithful performance of the labor and furnishing of tools, machinery, equipment, and materials in such bid as accepted and to fully complete the said work as follows: Substantial completion of the project shall be on or before September 6, 2024. Final completion of the project and readiness for final payment shall be on or before September 20, 2024. If the above completion dates are not met, liquidated damages shall be applied against the appropriate contract total as follows: Substantial Completion: Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($250.00) per day beyond the substantial completion date. Final Completion: Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($500.00) per day beyond the final completion date. Bid Guaranty Check or Bid Guaranty Bond is to be in the amount of 10% of the bid and must include the City of Sidney, Ohio as Obligee. Certified check must be issued by a solvent bank and made payable to the City of Sidney.
