The project shall consist of the following: Removal of existing bollard lights (79), including removal/demolition of existing concrete bases. Removal of existing overhead park lights (12), including removal/demolition of existing concrete bases. Trenching, duct, and conduit work as needed. Installation of client-provided bollard lights, including new concrete base and electrical work. Installation of proposed overhead LED lights, including new concrete base and electrical work. All other work and materials shown on the drawings and/or specifications or as otherwise described to provide a satisfactory trail lighting system. This work is to be done in coordination with the ongoing operations and maintenance of the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District facilities, parks, and trails; which must be kept in operation and accessible to the public. The work generally consists of replacement of 79 bollard lights, replacement of 12 twenty-foot overhead area LED lights, and trenching and duct work. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with Power of Attorney attached or cashier's check of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid (sum of all bid items) made payable to the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District (OWNER). A Bid which, in the opinion of OWNER's staff, deviates from the Contract Documents, and which has not been clarified through a written Addendum prior to Bid submittal deadline, shall be considered an exception to the Contract Documents and grounds for the Bid to be rejected. Bidders should read and understand all terms and conditions contained in the Contract Documents Contract Time is of the essence and all Work shall be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages are $500 per calendar day. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities in Bids received.
