The school district plans to fully renovate the restrooms, custodial closets, and water fountains found on the 300 and 400 Hallways of the Cross Creek Elementary School during the summer of 2024. The restrooms, custodial closet, and water fountain on the 500 Hallway of the same school were renovated during the summer of 2023 and shall serve as the basis of design for this project. Prior to submitting a bid, bidders must visit the project site and inspect all areas to be renovated on the 300 and 400 Hallways and the areas renovated previously on the 500 Hallway of the school. The intent of this project is to make the restrooms on the 300 and 400 Hallways match as closely as possible the work on the 500 Hallway. The project will include the removal of all plumbing fixtures including toilets, lavatories, water heaters, mop sinks, and water fountains found on the 300 and 400 Hallways and the installation of new fixtures as listed in Exhibit A. Labor includes demolishing existing fixtures and placing in school district supplied dumpster, reworking lavatory carrier arms, replacing broken toilet flanges, reworking toilet water supply lines and installing new fixtures. The project will also include the removal of all wall and floor ceramic tile and the installation of new wall and floor tile found in the identified spaces. The wall and floor tile work will be bid as a separate package. The plumbing contractor will be expected to coordinate his work schedule with the flooring/tile contractor and the school district. The school district will serve as the project manager for the overall job. Time is of the essence in this job as all work must be accomplished during the summer vacation and must be completed in time for the school district to clean the hallways after work has been completed before teachers return to work for the 2024- 2025 school year. The remainder of the school site not involved in renovations will be in operation during the summer. Work must be scheduled to avoid disruptions of water service to the remainder of the school between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. The last day for students for the 2022-2023 school year will be Friday, May 17. Teachers will work through Tuesday, May 21. Demolition of plumbing fixtures may begin as early as Saturday, May 18, and must begin no later than Monday, May 20. To facilitate flooring and tile work, plumbers must complete the removal of all plumbing fixtures on the 300 Hallway by Monday, May 27. The removal of fixtures on the 400 Hallway must be completed by Monday, June 10. Installation of new fixtures on the 300 Hallway should begin on June 24 and be completed by July 12. Installation of fixtures on the 400 Hallway should begin on July 10 and be complete by July 18. As summer school and other work will be on-going in other portions of the building, renovation work must be completed in a manner so as to minimize disruption of water supply to other parts of the building during working hours.
