The work generally consists of the construction of a 10- ft. wide, 1.25 mile long, lighted asphalt trail with wooden bridges and park benches that will be constructed at the new Crenshaw County Sports Complex to include the following approximate quantities: 600 Tons of Asphalt Paving; 7,150 square yards of4-inch think crushed aggregate base course; 3 each 10-ft. wide wooden bridges totaling 351 linear feet; A lighting & electrical system consisting of 44 decorative lights, electrical outlets, conduits, wiring and controls;10 park benches with concrete paved rest stops, and other appurtenances. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder. All bidders must comply with requirements of the Contractor's Licensing law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Guarantee will be required with each bid for at least 5% of the amount of the bid filed in the form of a certified check, Bid Bond, or irrevocable Letter of Credit acceptable to the owner payable to the Crenshaw County Commission, Luverne, Alabama. Bid Bonds shall include certification that the bonding company is listed in Circular570 of the U.S. Treasury Department.
