Renovation of a conference / convention center in Orlando, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.

Summary Of Work 1. The scope of work is to replace the Exhibit Halls operable partitions system in the Orange County Convention Center North-South Building. The operable partitions system shall be replaced in its entirety, including all panels and tracks. The scope also includes but not limited to drywall, finishing trim and other materials adjoining head and jamb of operable partitions, and replacement of existing surface mounted light fixtures in panel storage rooms. The new system shall be installed in place of the existing system as a 1:1 replacement. 2. The successful bidder shall be responsible for field verification of site measurements, production schedules, team communication on the processes and all tasks associated with installing the new system. 3. The successful bidder shall work with OCCC to generate a phasing plan that is appropriate and approved by OCCC in writing. The County is accepting sealed bids for North-South Building Exhibit Halls Operable Partitions Upgrades Project (Y24-749) Replacement of the Exhibit Halls Operable Partitions System in the Orange County Convention Center, Phase V (North-South Building). Question Submission Deadline:February 5, 2024, 5:00 pm A Bid, Payment and Performance Bond are a requirement when the offer/contract amount exceeds $100,000. Respondents shall attach an electronic copy of their bid bond for responsiveness. Submission of the bid bond, along with a certified and effectively dated copy of the power of attorney, shall be completed and signed by all required parties and submitted on the form provided in the solicitation. Submittal of a bid bond less than 10% of the total estimated contract amount for base period, shall result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. In order to be acceptable to the County, the Surety company issuing the Bid Bond shall meet and comply with the minimum standards described in #Bond Requirements, "Qualifications of Surety Companies". Failure to submit a Bid Bond from a Surety Company meeting these minimum standards shall result in rejection of the offer. ALTERNATIVE SURETY In the alternative, a Certified Check, or a Cashier's Check shall be required to accompany each electronic offer in a stated dollar amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the sum of the total estimated contract amount for the base period. Checks shall be submitted to the Procurement Division; Internal Operations Centre II, 400 E. South Street; 2nd Floor, Orlando, FL 32801 on or before the submission deadline of 4:00 pm EST, Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Respondent's must indicate on the outermost sealed envelope the following: 1. North-South Building Exhibit Halls Operable Partitions Upgrades Project (Y24-749) 2. Deadline 3. Name of Respondent 4. Return Address of the Respondent Submittal of a Certified Check, or a Cashier's Check in an amount less than ten (10%) percent shall result in rejection of the Proposal. Certified checks or cashier's checks shall be drawn on a solvent bank or trust company to the order of the Board of County Commissioners, Orange County, Florida and shall have all necessary documentary revenue stamps attached, if required by law. Personal checks shall not be accepted and shall result in rejection of the Proposal. Upon notice of award, when the contract amount exceeds $100,000, the Contractor shall execute and deliver to the County the Payment (See: Payment Bond Template) andPerformance Bonds (See: Performance Bond Template) as security for the faithful performance and completion of the Work and payment for all materials and labor furnished or supplied in connection with all Work included in the Contract Documents. These Bonds shall be in amounts at least equal to the Contract Amount, shall name the County as obligee, and shall be in such form and by sureties of financial standing having a rating from A.M. Best Company (or other equivalent rating company) equal to or better than A- VI and must be included on the approved list of sureties issued by the United States Department of Treasury. Failure to submit alternative surety prior to the submission deadline o f4:00 pm EST, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 shall result in rejection of the entire Proposal (electronic submittal). The time/date stamp clock located in the Procurement Division shall serve as the official authority to determine lateness of any alternative surety. Checks received after the stated deadline will be returned unopened. Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete all Work under this Contract and make the project available for beneficial use on or before the date stipulated for Substantial Completion (or such later date as may result from extension of time granted by County), he shall pay and/or the County may retain from the compensation otherwise to be paid to the Contractor, as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day that terms of the Contract remain unfulfilled beyond date allowed by the Contract, which sum is agreed upon as a reasonable and proper measure of damages which County will sustain per diem by failure of Contractor to complete work within time as stipulated; it being recognized by County and Contractor that the injury to County which could result from a failure of Contractor to complete on schedule is uncertain and cannot be computed exactly. In no way shall costs for liquidated damages be construed as a penalty on the Contractor. For each consecutive calendar day that the work remains incomplete after the date established for Final Completion, the County will retain from the compensation otherwise to be paid to the Contractor the sum of $250.00. This amount is the mutually agreed upon minimum measure of damages the County will sustain by failure of the Contractor to complete all remedial work, correct deficient work, clean up the project and other miscellaneous tasks as required to complete all Work specified and this amount of liquidated damages is in addition to the liquidated damages prescribed above for failure to timely achieve Substantial Completion.
