A: Any change to this RFP shall be made by writen addendum issued no later than February 5, 2024. The City is not responsible for any explanation, clarification, response or approval made or given in any manner except by authorized addendum. The City of Gardiner is seeking proposals from qualified firms with demonstrated experience and expertise to review and plan for methods to address improvements needed to the Arcade parking lot area to use in future construction planning. This RFP is the first planning phase of this project, with construction funding sources not currently allocated. The selected firm will perform design and engineering services for the 2.35 acre municipally owned "Arcade" parking lot (tax map 37, lot 10). This may include, but is not limited to, site demolition, soil amendment, new base, new pavement, new curb and gutter, new drainage structures, new lighting, pedestrian access improvements, hardscaping and landscaping, and stormwater management. A new design for the Arcade should be approached to benefit the downtown as a whole. This includes improvements to pedestrian and cyclist access from the adjoining Cobbossee Trail and the Arcade itself, increasing parking availability, and planning for stormwater storage. February 5, 2024: Addenda issued, if needed, by 4:00 pm ET (via City website only) February 29, 2024: Proposals reviewed; Winning vendor selected March 1, 2024: Winning vendor notified, contract negotiated 4 months from contract signing: Date by which project must be substantially completed 6 months from contract signing: Date by which project must be fully completed to City specifications Questions and requests for clarification regarding this RFP must be directed via email to the person listed.
