Questions regarding this solicitation should be submitted through the Message Center within Bonfire prior to the question's due date. The Gwinnett County Board of Education (Board) represented by Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) requests competitive sealed bids for On-Demand Portable Classroom Miscellaneous Repairs. GCPS is the largest school district in the State of Georgia. Scope of Work : GCPS is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for Portable Classroom Miscellaneous Repairs. Including Time & Material unit costs and overhead prices. These services will be performed at facilities located throughout Gwinnett County Public Schools. Work may be planned, or unplanned in response to emergency service requests. Planned work will be scheduled to minimize the impact on instructional time and optimize the successful completion of work by selected contractors. This is an on-demand contract. Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) may contract with more than one contractor, or as deemed to be in the best interest of the district, for the term specified in the solicitation. Each contractor must provide references that show experience in high volume on-demand general-purpose repair services to be considered for award. Each contractor is cautioned that any contract resulting from a response to this solicitation shall be of a non-exclusive nature. GCPS makes no guarantees with respect to the amount or volume of business billed under any resulting contract. GCPS may award to multiple vendors. Intent GCPS reserves the right to award to one or more contractors. After the award is made, work will be assigned based on approach, experience, and cost. It is the intent of this contract that the Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and services to complete work as assigned by the Gwinnett County Public School System or its representative. GCPS reserves the right to furnish part or all of the materials, parts, equipment, and services as it appears to be in its best interest. Contract Duration This contract is effective February 15, 2024, through February 14, 2025, or upon award. Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) reserves the right to extend this contract up to a maximum of four (4) additional one-year periods for a total potential term length of 5 years with the approval of the Gwinnett County Board of Education. Bid extensions will be approved in one-year increments. Annual contract extensions may be adjusted by raising or lowering the unit costs accordingly using data from the Consumer Price Index and must be agreed upon by both parties. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 50-5- 64, this contract shall not be deemed to create a debt of The Board for the payment of any sum beyond the fiscal year of execution or, in the event of a renewal, beyond the fiscal year of such renewal. Contractors awarded a contract pursuant to this bid are required within 48 hours of having a worker onsite at any GCPS location to provide the following: o Certificate of Insurance as specified in the solicitation document o Completed E-Verify forms o Submit background checks for all service provider's workers that will be on-site Failure to provide the above documents within the specified time allotted may be just cause for the annulment of the award.
