Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hoover, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

There are various areas at each school as well as other Hoover City School buildings that need to have flooring replaced over the summer break that is from 5/27/2024 through 8/1/2024 that are identified in March 2024 as well as the preceding 4 years during this contract period. Additionally, there could be additional areas identified by the principals or designee of each school. All flooring that is being used must be provided as specified with no exceptions. Pricing submitted shall be inclusive of all costs associated with the removal and installation of the product that is provided in this bid. Annual budget for districtwide projects is currently $200,000. There are additional opportunities that would be defined and funded by each local school in the district. SCOPE OF WORK SPECIFICS 1. Move furniture as needed to complete the project. Details will be discussed during the Pre-Bid Meeting. 2. Remove and dispose of existing carpet or other flooring materials stair treads, integrated risers, and cove base. 3. Prepare substrate for application of new LVT stair treads and integrated risers and cove base. 4. Provide and install LVT, stair treads and integrated risers, cove base, and transition strips as specified herein. Color(s) to be specified for each individual school by principal or designee. 5. These area turn-key projects and for areas designated to be completed over summer period must be completed by July 24, 2020. A Cashier's Check drawn on an Alabama Bank, or a bid bond executed by a Surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in Alabama, payable to the Hoover City Schools in the amount of 5% of the amount of bids, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the Bidder's bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required when the Contract is presented by the Contractor to the Authority.
