Areas that are to be considered for painting consists of hallways, classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, locker rooms, restrooms, stairwells, offices and conference rooms, library, etc. All areasto be painted shall be properly prepared for painting. Such preparation includes but not limited to being de-glossed, patching orrepairing of damage that is normal wear and tear as needed, and prepared as specified. Any repairs that exceed the standard of "normal wear and tear" will be made by HCS maintenance personnel in advance of areas being painted. A Cashier's Check drawn on an Alabama Bank, or a bid bond executed by a Surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in Alabama, payable to the Hoover City Schools in the amount of 5% of the amount of bids, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the Bidder's bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required when the Contract is presented by the Contractor to the Authority.
