The City of Gadsden's Community Development Dept. Housing Rehab Program The City of Gadsden is seeking non-profit agencies and/or Housing Rehabilitation Specialist and/ or consulting services to administer and/or to assist in the implementation of the city-wide Housing Rehabilitation Program. The City's Community Development Department currently oversees the administration and funding of the program which provides housing rehabilitation services to citizens of Gadsden. Details: Through the Housing Rehab program, home repairs are provided to households annually within the city limits of Gadsden. The Repair program is supported through an annual allocation in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).The budget allocated for the Housing Repair program is estimated at $250,000 over a 2-year period. The expected contract period between the City and a program administrator will be for one year with a one-year extension. Eligibility Criteria: Public or private non-profit agencies or organizations including faith-based organizations, units of local government, and Community-Based Development Organizations are eligible to apply for CDBG funds under this RFP.
