Bid No. B1-24 Rehabilitation of The Kaighn Avenue Dam - East Tide Gate The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of completing the necessary structural repairs to the deteriorating East Tide Gate of the Kaighn Avenue Dam. Thes repairs include, but are not limited to, the replacement of the gate skins plates, wheel assemblies, water seals, support rails, lifting assemblies, internal diaphragms, deteriorated rivets, angles, and connections, rehabilitating the existing guide wheels, support columns, cleaning and coating the whole East Tide Gate and the control room, etc. This contact includes the removal of the East Tide Gate and transportation to an existing construction staging area across Copper River Lake, replacing debris shields, rehabilitating the existing flap gates, testing and calibrating of reinstalled hydraulics and gate, removal of the temporary staging area, removal and deliver of the cofferdam system to DPW, site restoration and all appurtenant work, complete, as shown on the construction plans titled Newton Avenue Flood Mitigation Repair Plan for The Kaighn Avenue Dam - East Tide Gate (NJDEP DAM #31-066) prepared by Richard C. Maloney of Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc. and as directed in the proposal and presented in the specifications. Any request for interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to the County's representative stipulated in the bid and must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
