Renovation of a residential development in Rockland, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Studley Court Window & Door Replacement. The Project consists of but not limited to: Window and Door Replacement at the Community Building @ Studley Court, Rockland, MA. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the Rockland Housing Authority. Asbestos Abatement is also included in the scope. LEAD-CONTAINING PAINT: The General Contractor and all Subcontractors (including Filed Sub Bidders) who work on the project shall be made aware that lead-containing paint is present on the architectural and structural building components to be disturbed by the renovation work outlined by the Drawings. Each Contractor shall be required to comply with all aspects of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1926.62 "Lead in Construction Regulations" with regards to disturbance of these materials when performing their work. In addition, each Contractor shall be responsible for proper disposal of the demolition debris in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. The building is not a residence where children under the age of six (6) reside, therefore abatement of lead-containing components will not be required as per Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) "Child Lead Poisoning and Prevention Regulations. No additional compensation shall be granted for any engineering control methods employed by the Contractor for compliance with OSHA or other applicable requirements. Prior to the start of the work, the General Contractor shall be required to provide a submittal detailing the means and methods to achieve compliance with the provisions outlined above. The work is estimated to cost $60,000.00.
