A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** 2409-2024 Godby High School Door and Door Hardware Replacement Question Deadline 02/01/2024 Submit to: Nancy Scott, Procurement Officer Subject: ITB 2409-2024, Godby High School Door and Door Hardware Replacement Email: purchasing@leonschools.net The School Board of Leon County reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in any Bid and to reject any or all Bids in whole or part, with or without cause, and accept the Bid that, in its judgment, will be for the best interest of the School Board. 2.5.1 Door Replacement: Replace seventeen (17) doors: Provide and to include: a. Remove existing and install new hollow metal doors at existing openings. b. Doors to be new hollow metal 16g hurricane rated full lite doors with required glazing. c. Hardware: As specified in Hardware Group No. 05, Section 2.5.7 of this ITB. 2.5.2 Delivery, Storage and Handling: a. Inventory doors and door hardware on receipt and provide secure storage for hardware prior to installation. b. Tag each item or package separately with identification coordinated with the final door hardware schedule, and include installation instructions, templates, and necessary fasteners with each item or package. c. Deliver each article of hardware in the manufacturer's original packaging 2.5.3 Project Conditions a. Maintain manufacturer-recommended environmental conditions throughout storage and installation periods. b. Control handling and installation of hardware items so that the completion of work will not be delayed by hardware losses both before and after installation. 2.5.4 Protection and Damage a. Promptly replace products damaged during shipping. b. Handle hardware in a manner to avoid damage, marring, or scratching. Correct, replace or repair products damaged during work. c. Protect products against malfunction due to paint, solvent, cleanser, or any chemical agent. 2.5.5 Mandatory Pre-Bid Keying Conference a. Attendees: Awarded Contractor, Principal or designee, LCS Locksmith, and Facilities Project Coordinator. b. Incorporate keying conference decisions into final keying schedule after reviewing the door hardware keying system including: i. Function of building, flow of traffic, purpose of each area, degree of security required, and plans for future expansion. ii. Preliminary key system schematic diagram. iii. Requirements for key control system. iv. Requirements for access control. 2.5.6 Key Schedule a. Provide keying schedule which shall list levels of keying and an explanation of the key system's function, key symbols used and door numbers controlled. b. Provide 3 copies of keying schedule for review, prepared and detailed in accordance with the DHI publication. Include schematic keying diagram and index each key to unique door designations. c. Index keying schedule by door number, keyset, hardware heading number, cross keying instructions, and special key stamping instructions. d. Provide one complete bitting list of key cuts and one key system schematic illustrating system usage and expansion. e. Forward bitting list, key cuts, and key system schematic directly to the Project Coordinator . Prepare the key schedule by or under the supervision of the supplier, detailing School Board's final keying instructions for lock
