Site work and renovation of a stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
Cincinnati Reds fans can expect some major upgrades and enhancements to Great American Ball Park for the upcoming season, including a new sponsorship with a national chain based right here in the Queen City. The new Food Hub is the largest feature. The grab-and-go marketplace, situated on the third base concourse, includes stands from Penn Station and LaRosa's, plus hot dogs, snacks and drink coolers. In addition, Wings and Rings will make its debut at GABP in the concourse, offering boneless wings with a choice of barbecue, buffalo or medium garlic sauce and onion rings. The area has more than 30 self-service checkouts, allowing fans to make quicker purchases and get back to the game. "We've more than doubled our capacity," Andy Worden, general manager for hospitality company Delaware North, told me. "We know how important it is for the fan to come in and service themselves." Great American Ball Park Executive Chef Gary Davis worked with his team during the offseason to come up with the new menu for fans. "We want to keep that Cincinnati feel, and we keep our flavors that way," Worden said. "We take our local favorites and the things that people enjoy, and we elevate it. "They're all really good features, but I think the one that's going to get the most attention is the Fifty West burger," he added. The burger is a limited-time offering and includes double smash burger patties with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream and tostada served on a potato bun with crinkle-cut fries and a souvenir helmet filled with FUNacho Cheese. Other new food options include: Glier's Goetta Sliders: Glier's original goetta, topped with American cheese, crispy onions, pickles and habanero hot pepper bacon jam, served on potato slider rolls Bratter Up: grilled and skewered Glier's bratwurst topped with American cheese, bacon and signature sauce Smoker Nachos: nacho chips topped with Montgomery Inn pulled chicken or pork, queso cheese, pickled jalapenos, onions, cucumbers and jalapeno cream sauce Brisket & Cheese Hoagie: Montgomery Inn smoked brisket, topped with peppers, onions, banana peppers, queso cheese and barbecue sauce, served on a potato sub roll Hempler's Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage: grilled jalapeno cheddar sausage topped with ballpark kraut and mustard and served on a toasted pretzel bun Big Red Dog: grilled Big Red Smoke wrapped in bacon, topped with pimento cheese and signature sauce served on a toasted pretzel bun Brisket Mac Dog: grilled brisket topped with macaroni and cheese and Montgomery Inn barbecue sauce served on a toasted pretzel bun. The ballpark is also bringing back the Skyline nacho helmet, which includes nacho chips topped with Skyline Chili and shredded cheese served in a souvenir Reds helmet. It debuted last year but has been brought back due to popular demand. "The Reds are committed to continuously enhancing the fan experience at Great American Ball Park," Phil Castellini, Reds president and chief operating officer, said in a news release. "From upgraded amenities to innovative technologies, we aim to create an unforgettably fun atmosphere where every fan at the ballpark can watch Reds baseball with ease." In addition to the Food Hub, the Lexus Diamond Club and the Fan Zone got some major upgrades. The all-inclusive Lexus Diamond Club has been completely redesigned to incorporate a modern aesthetic and enhanced experience. It features indoor climate-controlled seating, expanded from a 230-guest capacity to around 300. Guests will have access to premium food stations and a fully stocked bar plus a candy wall, gelato bar and an ice cream stand. Other new amenities include a 100-inch TV behind the bar and a merchandise kiosk exclusive to the Diamond Club. This is the first complete overhaul to the space since the ballpark opened in 2003, according to Worden. He would not disclose the amount invested in the renovation. The First Star Fan Zone features a new TriHealth fan accommodations station staffed with guest-relations personnel. New stroller parking is also available. On the retail front, Delaware North is implementing Exo Checkout technology at the main Reds Team Shop on Crosley Terrace. RFID-enabled technology quickly scans all items a fan places in the checkout, which also features RetailCloud self-service stations, providing a streamlined experience to reduce the time in line. Fans sitting in the Lexus Diamond Club, Boone County Bourbon Press Club and the luxury suites can order Reds merchandise from the team shop and have items delivered directly to them. The Kids Fan Club also features a few new additions for the 2024 season. The Reds Rookies, the official club for fans up to 3 years of age, features membership kits for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Each kit includes gear, experiences for families, two game tickets and a scorebook. Reds Heads club membership, for fans ages 3 to 12, includes a 2024 jersey and backpack, an exclusive Hunter Greene bobblehead, trading pins, two game tickets and a scorebook. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.bizjournals.com/louisville/news/2024/03/25/cincinnati-reds-food-great-american-stadium.html Ready for a spring time road trip up river Cincinnati Reds fans can expect some major upgrades and enhancements to Great American Ball Park for the upcoming season.
