Oakland University is requesting a bid proposal from qualified contractors for a turnkey design, construction, implementation, and commissioning of the project, for a photovoltaic solar array at Oakland University's Sunset Terrace, located at 162 Sunset Lane, Rochester, Michigan. The project will provide solar powered electricity to Sunset Terrace to meet the total electrical load demand and consumption for a net zero energy usage. A (3) year service contract shall be included in the bid proposal. The university will review and approve the submitted design and solar panel specifications prior to proceed with the construction. The property was built in 1952 and is approximately 12,587 SF. The property includes a large open green space where the proposed solar panels could be installed. Heating and cooling for this property are provided by Air Source Heat Pumps with supplemental electric heating system. One-year electrical hourly data and a copy of the most recent DTE bill are provided in Appendix A. Proposals may be withdrawn by written notice to the prescribed OU Buyer, prior to the proposal deadline date. Negligence on the part of the vendor in preparing the proposal confers no right of withdrawal or modification of the proposal after the proposal deadline has elapsed.
