Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a 57,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; parking garage; and water / sewer project.
This prevailing wage project located in the Downingtown Area School District; consists of the renovations and additions to the existing 57,000 sf Beaver Creek Elementary School. Typical construction consists of masonry and steel bearing with steel joists and deck. Sitework constists of new grading along with new parking areas and a underground detention basin. SEALED PROPOSALS are invited by the undersigned for the project described as Additions and Renovations to Beaver Creek Elementary School PROPOSALS are invited on a lump sum basis for the following Contracts: Contract No. 1 - General Construction Contract No. 2 - Plumbing Construction Contract No. 3 - HVAC Construction Contract No. 4 - Electrical Construction Contract No. 5 - Food Service Construction PROPOSAL SECURITY shall accompany each proposal submitted in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount of the proposal, Base Bid. Except as permitted by Pennsylvania Act No. 4 of 1974, proposals may not be withdrawn by the bidder for a period not to exceed 60 calendar days following the actual date of the opening thereof, or, if award of contract is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of grant or grants, the proposals may not be withdrawn by the bidder during the 120-day period following the date of bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish surety bonds in the forms of the "Performance Bond and Payment Bond" required by the Contract Documents. Each bond shall be in a sum equal to 100% of the Contract Price and shall be executed by a surety company satisfactory to the Owner and qualified to do business in Pennsylvania. This Invitation to Bid supersedes any provisions to the Instruction to Bidders (A.I.A. Document A701), as modified by the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders, which conflicts with the provisions hereof. Prospective bidders are advised that this project is subject to and governed by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act including amendments and supplements thereto. The undersigned reserves the right to waive nonmaterial defects in or reject any or all proposals or parts thereof.
