Provide testing services necessary for classifying the material of approximately 6,561 water service lines. Work shall include all work necessary to provide appropriate documentation necessary for generating a digital inventory of water service line material types on both the city owned and customer owned portions of the service line. Investigation procedures and record keeping requirements are dictated in the Technical Specifications/Scope of Work accompanying this request. Contact for Questions: Ethan Green, Civil Engineer Phone Number: 252-939-3294 All vendors doing business with the city of kinston must meet the following Conditions: - Maintain valid liability insurance as specified in the bid documents. - Complete Vendor Application package prior to beginning work. - Be licensed or certified for the work being performed as applicable. 1) Contractor shall provide a schedule showing proposed timeline and milestones necessary to meeting the deadline of September 15, 2024. 2) Contractor will be allowed to used the methods dictated below in order to determine water service line material: o Visual inspection of service line material o Water quality sampling o Excavation o Predictive modeling o Emerging methods Each of these methods are detailed in Chapter 5: Service Line Investigation Methods of the attached pdf "Guidance for Developing and Maintaining a Service Line Inventory".
