The project scope involves masonry repair & restoration on an educational facility, approximately three stories in height and encompasses approximately 26,700 square feet of wall surface on 23 separate elevations Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful Bidder The Board of Education, Oak Lawn Community High School District 229 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Revised Statutes, 1981, Chapter 48, Section 39s-l through 39s-12, requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount.
