Site work and paving for a civil project in Wausau, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work under this contract shall consist of asphalt patching areas of pavement which have been removed to repair water mains and other water utility maintenance. This work will include sawcutting, removing asphalt and any base course needed, asphalt and any incidentals necessary to complete the work included in this contract. Asphalt Patching 40,000 SF Sawing Asphalt 5,000 LF All work from the initial Utility Repairs list provided at the preconstruction meeting shall be completed by June 1, 2024. The Contractor will receive a new Utility Repairs list from the City Inspector each and every month from June through October, all Utility Repairs for each month's list shall be completed within 30 days of receiving that list. Repair of the City's infrastructure is ongoing, utility repairs made by the City up to October 15th shall be considered part of this project. The contractor shall accept the fact that the quantities may vary based upon the amount of utility work done. Should the contractor fail to complete this utility work within the time set above, the City will be enforcing the contract language in the General Conditions, Article 41 (Liquidated Damages) on page 27 of the General Conditions.
