Planned (by the shoulder mile) brush cutting, tree pruning, and small tree removal for the Lebanon Residency along highway rights-of-way located in Tazewell County. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide planned (by the shoulder mile) brush cutting, tree pruning, and small tree removal for the Lebanon Residency along highway rights-of-way located in Tazewell County of the Bristol District in accordance with the specifications contained herein. CONTRACT PERIOD: This contract shall be from date of award through March 1, 2024. Any questions regarding this Quick Quote shall be addressed to Chelsa Taylor at chelsa.taylor@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, and traffic control, to include all equipment and flaggers as required per the most recent version of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM), and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements stated within. The work shall consist of tree pruning, small tree removal, and brush removal along with the disposal of all generated debris for the purpose of enhancing safety for the public. Roadway shoulders shall include up to four (4) sides (medians) on divided highways. 1. Work shall be performed along various multi-lane routes (primary and secondary) and various two-lane routes (primary and secondary) within Bristol District. Routes listed for tree trimming/brush removal work shall be clearly identified on work order(s) submitted to Contractor. Routes listed on work orders will have fixed "starting" and "stopping" points (GPS or mile marker readings for linear distances). Multiple starting/stopping points may apply to any single route; mileage for each section of trimming/brush removal (on a single route) shall be cumulative, with the total mileage producing the total billable quantity. Determination of work shall be made by VDOT. The Contractor shall complete the work as identified on work orders submitted by VDOT and the Contractor shall be responsible to mobilize the proper resources to accomplish the work by the prescribed Milestones/Completion Dates as stated on the work order(s). 2. All work shall be performed and paid by shoulder mile (SM). 3. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within ten (10) calendar days of award of this Quick Quote. Any of the listed routes not completed by March 1, 2024, shall not be paid unless approved by Contract Administrator.
