SCOPE OF SERVICES The City of Columbia is seeking design and construction services for the development of up to 8 miles of natural surface trails at Gans Creek Recreation Area, 3350 E Gans Rd, Columbia, MO 65201. The 320-acre park currently includes a world-class cross country course that hosts state, regional and national events for high school and collegiate athletes and five multi-purpose sports fields CONTRACT PERIOD: Date of award through completion of project, shall not to exceed five (5) years The bid bond shall be in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of Offerors proposal Acceptable forms of bid bonds include: 1.) an original bond on the City of Columbias bid bond form (Exhibit H) A certified check made payable to the City of Columbia; or 3.) A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, with corporate surety, satisfactory to the purchasing agent, each in an amount not less than the contract price. Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, Contractor shall agree to allow a deduction of one hundred and fifty ($150.00) per calendar day from final payment as liquidated damages for each day that completion is delayed beyond said completion date established. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received in response to this RFP, or to cancel the RFP if it is in the best interest of the City of Columbia to do so.
