Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Prior Lake, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,840-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Cleary Lake Campground Compliance Project The project consists of Tree Removal, Grading, Gravel Roadway, Concrete Sidewalks and Paving, Curb & Gutter, Drainage, Watermain, Well, Sanitary Sewer, Septic Drain Field, Restroom Building, Landscaping, and Restoration. It is proposed to construct campground improvements including restroom / shower buildings, RV dump stations, RV water filling stations, septic tank, gravel roadways, concrete parking, and sidewalks. Structural loads for the buildings were not provided, but we estimate that they could be in the range of one to two kips per lineal foot along the bearing walls of the building with column loads on the order of 25 kips. We understand that the vertical and horizontal alignment of the roadway areas will remain similar to existing conditions or will have cuts and fills of less than 2 feet. WSB has developed foundation recommendations for this project in consideration of the proposed layout, loadings, and structural configurations as understood at this time. When the designer develops additional information about final design structural loadings, building configuration, or other significant factors, the recommendations presented herein may no longer apply. WSB should be made aware of the revised or additional information in order to evaluate the recommendations for continued applicability. Scott County authorized this scope of service. In order to assist the design team in preparing plans and specifications, we have developed recommendations for designing foundations, underground structures, and pavements. As such, we have completed a subsurface exploration program and prepared a geotechnical report for the referenced site. This stated purpose was a significant factor in determining the scope and level of service provided. Should the purpose of the report change the report immediately ceases to be valid and use of it without WSB's prior review and written authorization should be at the user's sole risk. Our authorized scope of work has been limited to: 1. Clearing underground utilities utilizing Gopher State One Call. 2. Mobilization / demobilization of a truck mounted drill rig. 3. Drilling 8 flight auger or standard penetration borings to depths of 5 to 21 feet below grade. 4. Sealing the borings per Minnesota Department of Health procedures. 5. Perform soil classification and analysis. 6. Review of available project information and geologic data. 7. Providing this geotechnical report containing: a. Summary of our findings. b. Discussion of subsurface soil and groundwater conditions and how they may affect the proposed foundation, underground structures, and pavements. c. Estimated allowable bearing capacity of the soils. d. Estimated excavation depths to suitable soils. e. Estimated R-value of the soils. f. Recommended pavement section. g. A discussion of soils for use as structural fill and site fill. Questions: contact Adam Jessen, Scott County Project Manager at 952-496-8048 or ajessen@co.scott.mn.us Bids must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Scott County Treasurer, or a corporate surety bond made in favor of Scott County, for at least 5% of the amount of the bid. The County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any defects therein. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The bidder is responsible for all present and future downloads of any and all project documents, including, but not limited to, addendums and their respective attachments. This in no way reduces your responsibility to strictly adhere to these specifications.
