Renovation of an educational facility in Princeton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of Work: Replacement of 33 doors and hardware; replacement of hardware only at 76 doors. Project Start: 6/24/2024 Substantial Completion: 10/30/2024 Final Completion: 11/29/2024 Estimated Cost: $800,000 The Princeton Board of Education ("Owner") will receive bids for Interior Door Replacement at Princeton High School, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Fraytak Veisz Hopkins Duthie, P.C. (FVHD), Architects-Planners Bids will be received for: Single Overall Contract (DPMC: C008 or C009) Check or money order payable to Fraytak Veisz Hopkins Duthie, P.C. If Contractor requests shipping, a direct shipping account number (FedEx or UPS) and preferred shipping speed must be provided and for paper sets, a separate fee of $25.00 per set. All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by February 2, 2024, and sent to info@fvhdpc.com, or fax to 609-883-2694 or via common carrier to the Architect. All correspondence must include the Architect Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Architect is not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. Any Bid received after that time shall be rejected. Bid proposal shall be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner (above), bearing the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and project number on the outside of the envelope. Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), prior to date bids are received. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. the "Public School Contracts Law." All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., Affirmative Action Against Discrimination (N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.). This project is subject to the NJ State Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 et seq. All bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. and N.J.S.A. 10:2-1. An Initial Project Workforce Report will be required from the successful contractor. (Form AA-201). Per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate issued prior to the award of contract. The Board of Education and the Architect assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject all bids or to waive minor informalities in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Owner to do so. All bidders are to check the FVHD website www.fvhdpc.com and download addenda if any are issued for the project.
