**As of April 2, 2024, the project was awarded to Richard Goettle, Inc. in the amount of $363,600.00.** This item shall consist of the mobilization and demobilization of the Contractors' forces and equipment necessary for performing the work required to complete the Contract. This work shall also include a sign erected at the project site's most convenient point of public access and in plain view. The sign shall be erected prior to the construction phase and be maintained for the project duration. The sign shall be removed upon completion of all work. Work Location:The Chestnut Hagan Subsidence project is located generally in the Northwest (NW) quadrant of the City of Norton, near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Hagan Avenue, and Hagan Avenue and Craig Street. The project consists of three (3) properties: 427 Hagan Avenue; 406 Chestnut Street and 402 Chestnut Street in Norton, Virginia. The work to be performed under the terms of this Specification consists of a grouting program to fill and stabilize abandoned underground mine. Some mine entries are known to be open, while others are believed to be in various stages of collapse. The work includes all labor, plant, equipment, water, materials, and the performance of all operations in connection with drilling grout holes, controlling dust and cuttings while drilling, installing grout injection pipes, mixing and delivering grout, making connections, and injecting the grouting materials, care and disposal of wastewater and waste grout; cleaning of the area upon completion of the work, and all such other operations as are incidental to the grouting operations. In addition, the work includes demolition and replacement of a section of entrance gutter adjoining the driveway entrance at 406 Chestnut Street, and all such operations as are incidental to the gutter.
