The HA is seeking bids from qualified, licensed and bonded entities to provide the following services at the housing sites listed herein: Buena Vista Migrant Center at 113 Tierra Alta Dr, Watsonville CA 95076. It is the intent of the HA to retain a contractor to, pursuant to the requirements of this IFB and the ensuing contract, to implement the following Scope of Work for the replacement of existing windows with retrofit windows. If the contractor's bid is over $10,000, a certified check, or bank draft (payable to the Stanislaus Regional Housing Authority), U.S. Government bonds at par value or a bid bond secured by a surety company (authorized to do business in California) equal to five percent (5%) of the bid will be submitted with the bid. Additionally, a non-collusive affidavit will be submitted with the contractor's bid. If the contractor's bid is over $10,000, the successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond for one hundred percent of the contract price or, as may be required by law, separate performance and payment bonds, each for fifty percent or more of the contract price, or a twenty percent cash escrow, or a twenty five percent irrevocable letter of credit. Contractors are responsible for the site visit and making their own calculations and measurements regarding window size and quantities per duplex type. There is a total of 104 units, 1 Laundry Room and 1 Shop/Office Building that will need the windows replaced. The Authority reserves the right to issue modifications to this IFB at any time, award the proposed project to more than one firm, reject all proposals, and ask for any clarifications or verifications from Proposers at any time Work consists of, but is not limited to removal and replacement existing windows and trim. Supply and install retrofit double pane vinyl windows. Paint as needed to match existing. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation and supplies necessary to perform the window replacements and associated exterior repairs replacements and associated exterior repairs.
