Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a water / sewer project in Boulder City, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; and for asbestos abatement for a water / sewer project.

Estimated cost is between $160,000 to $220,000. This work shall include furnishing all labor, material, and equipment to complete the project as described in the specifications. Work includes removal and proper disposal of asbestos containing materials and lead based paint removal and encapsulation in the historic water filtration plant. All work shall be performed in accordance with The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation, the Clark County Department of Environment and Sustainability (DES), Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations. The Contractor must be EPA certified for lead abatement and Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (NVOSHA) certified for asbestos abatement. Asbestos and lead abatement shall be performed using methods that protect the historic building materials. Before submitting a proposal, the bidder shall carefully examine the drawings, specifications, and other contract documents, and he shall visit the site of the work. It will be assumed that the bidder is familiar with existing site conditions and that he has a clear understanding of the requirements of the contract regarding the furnishing of materials and performance of work. At least 50 percent of all workers employed on the public work, including, without limitation, any employees of the Contractor, applicant, or design-build team, and of any subcontractor engaged on the public work, will hold a valid Drivers License or identification card issued by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. At least 50 percent of the design professionals working on the public work, including, without limitation, any employees of the Contractor, applicant, or design-build team, and of any subcontractor engaged on the public work, will have a valid Drivers License or identification card issued by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. At least 25 percent of the suppliers of the materials used for the public work will be located in Nevada unless the public body requires the acquisition of materials or equipment that cannot be obtained from a supplier located in Nevada. The Engineer will only furnish a digital copy of the Contract Drawings and Specifications to the Contractor. The Contractor shall furnish their own hard copies as needed. The Contractor shall have access to the Contract Drawings and Specifications onsite at all times during work hours, either digitally or hard copy.
