License Requirements Class A Start/Delivery Date Project Completion October 2027 Liquidated Damages Yes Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 03/25/2025 4:00 PM (PST) IEUA is seeking to prequalify construction contractors that are qualified to construct the RP-1 Air Compressor Upgrades, The primary goal of this project is to replace the existing nine independent air compressor systems with 2 new centralized air compression systems to replace obsolete equipment, create a more balanced system, streamline operations and maintenance, reduce the risk of failures, and extend the longevity of the compressed air system for the plant and instrument air needs at RP- 1. The major project scope items are summarized below: 1. Provide two separate centralized air compression systems at RP-1 for the following systems: the Primary, Secondary, and Solids Process Areas (System 1) and the Tertiary Process Area (System 2). 2. Replace twenty-one existing air compressors with six new standardized air compressors (four new compressors for System 1 and two new compressors for System 2, including new air receivers and air dryers. 3. Provide new looped underground and overhead rack piping with pipe supporting systems. Buried piping will be located in heavily congested areas and safety precautions including potholing techniques will be required to avoid hitting and breaking existing utility lines. 4. Provide new pressure transmitters and automated system controls as well as redundant power feeds for each compressor system for reliability. 5. Replace the three existing headworks channel and primary influent channel aeration blowers with new multistage centrifugal blowers equipped with variable frequency drives (VFDs). 6. Provide operation and maintenance on-site training by an authorized representative of the equipment manufacturer for all major and control system equipment for three discipline groups as follows: Maintenance Staff (electricians, instrument technicians, mechanics), Operations Staff, and Operational Technology/Information Technology Staff (control systems analysts/network administrators).
