Questions and answers that clarify SIR details may be provided to all Offerors; however, the source of questions will not be identified The asphalt parking lot and the drive in the front of the security gate at QYB ARSR Radar site has deteriorated significantly, showing uneven areas, areas with alligator cracking, and other areas with long cracks. There are areas where the asphalt along with base material are damaged and will require replacement & repairs. On the east side of the facility, install a 12-foot-wide gravel drive from the back of the building, around the east of the building tying into the asphalt drive to the north. The work shall include the replacement of five exterior light fixtures along with 30 interior ceiling hung and 10 ceiling grid inlay fluorescent light fixtures with LED light fixtures. In the kitchen area, remove and replace the countertop, backslash and sink/faucet. All the wooden kitchen cabinets shall be refinished. Replace in-kind the bathroom door and hardware along with the bathroom vanity, sink/faucet and associated plumbing. The contractor shall furnish necessary equipment, materials, labor and supervision to perform the following work at the QYB ARSR radar site, a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facility located off of Red Banks Road S, Desoto County, Byhalia, Mississippi, 38611. The asphalted area is the access drive and parking lot, it encompasses approximately 10,425 ft2. The 12-foot gravel drive is approximately 1,700 ft2. The asphalt areas were divided into sections to calculate the approximate square footage along with the gravel drive, refer to Appendix Drawing C001. The facility is secure and is active 24 hours, 7 days a week. Work inside of the facilitys security fence may require an FAA escort. The work will impact the operation of the security gate along with disruption of use & temporarily restrict access to some areas. This requires a plan be developed, with a schedule for the work activities and must be coordinated with the FAAs on-site representative. Areas to be closed must be coordinated with the on-site representative, to ensure adequate vehicular access for facility personnel.
