The purpose of the solicitation is to award contracts to provide certain environmental services for inspection and testing. Inspection and testing services provided under the resulting contract(s) are restricted to the specific services listed in the contract, and other services offered by the Contractor are prohibited under this contract. Inspections are for collecting samples of suspect asbestos-containing, lead-based paint-containing or mold-containing materials to be sent to an approved lab for analysis. The inspector will write a report of the lab findings. Inspections must be carried out by a South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control licensed asbestos inspector, a United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA or EPA) certified lead-based paint inspector or by a contractor that can follow analytical methods recommended by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), or other professional organizations in the case of mold-testing. Mold, paint, and asbestos testing must be representative of suspect surfaces or materials in each room or area. Inspections must comply with latest SCDHEC and EPA regulations. Worker's Compensation: As required by the State of South Carolina, with Statutory Limits, and Employer's Liability Insurance with limit of no less than $1,000,000 per accident for bodily injury or disease. The State reserves the right to require complete, certified copies of all required insurance policies, including endorsements required by this section, at any time.
