A. The General Requirements for Mechanical Work are intended to be complementary to the General Requirements of the Construction Contract. B. Work Included: Provide complete mechanical systems where shown on the drawings, as specified herein, and as needed for a complete and proper installation including, but not necessarily limited to the following summary of work: 1. Furnish and install a complete gas system as shown on drawings and described herein. 2. Furnish and install a complete heating and air conditioning system as shown on drawings and described herein. 3. Other items and services required to complete the systems. The project consists of removal and replacement of the four rooftop mechanical units on the roof of the existing theater building. This work will be conducted in conjunction with the replacement of the roof covering, which will be bid at a later date and time. The replacement of the mechanical rooftop units and the roof covering will be scheduled to be completed within the time frame of June and July 2024. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Bid securities must accompany each Proposal. Bid security shall be made payable to the City of Corsicana, Texas in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal sum. Security shall be either a certified check or bid bond by surety licensed in Texas. The Contractor will be required to furnish surety bonds guaranteeing the faithful performance of the work and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, each in the penal sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The time (allotted for the completion of all items of work) shall begin on the tenth (10th) day after the issuance of the "Notice to Proceed." The undersigned agrees to fully complete the project within the time stated in the TIME OF COMPLETION paragraph above. The undersigned further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $250.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter, as hereinafter provided in the Supplementary General Conditions.
