As of March 7,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. For each home repair project, a Glynn County representative will perform a home assessment, including taking photographs and developing a scope of work to replace or repair the roof, piping, electrical or other environmental hazards in the home. Glynn County will email the final scope of work and photos to the contractor pool for estimates. The work will include one or more of the following tasks 1. Roof repair or replacement 2. Remediation of environmental health hazards. Area of concern to be addressed include mold, asbestos or lead remediation, flood control, air quality and other environmental issues that may cause unhealthy living conditions 3. Plumbing/Piping repairs 4. Electrical repair 5. Small accessibility improvements Any questions and /or misunderstandings that may arise from this invitation shall be submitted in writing via the e-Procurement Portal no later than Tuesday, February 6, 2024 Question Submission Deadline February 6, 2024, 5:00pm Glynn County invites qualified general contractors to submit qualifications to provide roof repair, plumbing repair, electrical repair, and environmental hazard remediation to the Glynn County Emergency Home Repair Project. Approximately 15-20 home repair projects are expected to be completed in the next 12 months. Qualified contractors selected through this process will form a contractor pool that will be eligible to quote on the home repair projects as assigned by Glynn County. In order to qualify for selection (a) Contractor must be qualified to complete the full scope of potential work; and/or (b) have previous experience subcontracting and overseeing the portion of work they are not able to complete with their own full-time employees. Respondents will be required to provide a list of subcontractors they may use to complete the project scopes of work and will be responsible for the work of their subcontractors. Qualified contractors will contract with the County to perform these services. Glynn County will administer the funds and verify that the contractors are licensed, insured and have completed the work required.
