Site work and paving for a road / highway in Pittsboro, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Pittsboro is seeking statements of qualifications from interested Engineering Firms to complete planning and design services for an expansion to the existing Robeson Creek Greenway. The Robeson Creek Greenway currently extends approximately 2,000 feet from Sanford Road (US 15-501) to South Small Street. The existing alignment generally follows the creek and sanitary sewer easement. The greenway expansion will extend approximately 3,000 feet to the southern point of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Drive. The final alignment for the green way expansion is to be determined. Potential alignment options are included in Attachment B. All technical or scope of work questions should be directed to: Ben Schmadeke Project Engineer bschmadeke@pittsboronc.gov 984-282-6931 It is anticipated that a firm will be selected in the spring of 2024 with design work to be completed by mid-2024 to be followed by construction bidding and ideally construction completion by the summer of 2025.
