As of March 28, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Construction may begin in late summer. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* The Town of Apex is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for professional services related to the installation of town wide wayfinding and monumental signage. The intent of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from architectural and/or engineering firms qualified and interested in the project. The Town of Apex plans to select a firm to develop the design and construction documents, budget, perform bid services, and construction administration for complete installation of town wide wayfinding signage. Design standards for signage were previously completed by Merje and need to be site adapted to suitable locations with consideration given to utilities, footings, easements, permits, ROWs, lighting, etc. The work elements may include, but not be limited to the following: o Design Services including: o Architectural o Electrical Engineering o Structural Engineering o Civil Engineering o Construction Document Development o Budget Estimate o Bid Phase Services o Construction Administration Services and Project Closeout. The Town of Apex may interview one or more firms before making a final selection. The Town of Apex shall select the most qualified firm and reserves the right to reject any and all responses based on the following criteria: 1. Demonstrated understanding of the project 2. Demonstrated experience with public facilities 3. Accessibility to the project site 4. Ability of the firm to meet the project schedule and remain within the budget 5. Such other appropriate information as the Town deems advisable The Town of Apex will award the contract to the selected firm based on successful negotiation of the fee for this work. If unsuccessful, the Town may enter negotiations and award the contract to another qualified firm. The Town of Apex is not responsible for any costs incurred by Firms in preparing, submitting, or presenting their SOQ's.
