Bids will be received for the following Contracts: Contract No. 1A - General Construction: Construction of new residential drop-off center consisting of pre-engineered metal structure (partially enclosed) and associated concrete foundations. Site improvements to include clearing and grubbing, storm water management modifications, asphalt/concrete pavements, earthwork (primarily fill), and incidental restoration. Contract No. 1B - Electrical Construction: Electrical Systems for the new residential drop-off building and attendant station office. Project also includes extending 3 phase power from recycling building to existing residential building and re-feeding the scale house, and new building demands associated with this project Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. March 15, 2024: NTP - Notice to Proceed (approximate) 275 days after NTP: Project Renovations Completed (December 15, 2024) This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Greene County Highway Department & Solid Waste Management prior to incorporation into the work of the Contracts. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts.
