This project includes water facilities identified by the Public Utilities Department as requiring replacement due to age and condition. These replacements will reduce future water main breaks and reduce maintenance requirements. The project will also bring existing water mains up to current City Standards. The scope of work includes: a) Replacement of approximately 8,728 linear feet (LF) of of 8-inch and 12-inch water mains to replace existing asbestos cement (AC) water mains, with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) water mains via open trench, including associated water services, fire hydrants, valves, water meters, and other appurtenances. b) Construction of new and/or replacement of approximately 54 curb ramps within the public right-of-way and traffic control c) This work includes furnishing all design, labor, materials, equipment, services, and other incidental design, works and appurtenances for the construction of the Project as described in the bridging documents.
