Bids received after that time will be returned unopened. Each and every bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the firm submitting the bid and the Superintendent of Harper Creek Community Schools or any member of the Board of Education. Bids shall be executed on Bid Form provided. Each proposal must be accompanied by a satisfactory certified check, money order, or bid bond payable to Harper Creek Community Schools for not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid and delivered in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name, address, and project identification. All bids submitted shall be from a prime bidder only and shall include all subcontractor costs for scopes identified in the contract documents. This project does not require prevailing wages. Successful bidder(s) will be awarded by AIA A101-2017, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, as modified, issued by the Owner following action by the Board of Education. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities in biding and to refrain from accepting or rejecting any bids for a period of thirty (90) days after the bid opening. Contractors shall contact the Director of Operations, Jim Robinson (phone 269-441-6575) to let the School know when site visits will be made. Contractors are encouraged to conduct their own onsite walkthrough of the school site and observe the existing conditions. Contractors shall conduct these site visits during the weekdays after school has been dismissed. The allowable time to visit the sites is between 3:50 pm and 5:30 pm. The project scope of work includes (but not limited to) the following: 1. Earthwork 2. RRFB Pedestrian Crosswalk System 3. Bituminous Paving 4. Concrete Sidewalk and Concrete Curb and Guter 5. Pavement Marking 6. Site Signage 7. Fire Hydrant Relocation 8. Chain Link Fence
