Air Conditioning Units a. 2 ton window a/c units shall be LG dual inverter 24,000 BTU or approved equal b. If A/C substitution is desired, a request must be submitted for approval by the question end date. Substitution request must be accompanied with a side by side comparison showing that the substitution is of equal or better than the specified A/C unit. c. All window a/c units shall be Energy Star-rated with a minimum CEER of 10.3. d. Handheld remote to operate the a/c unit shall be handled as directed by the project coordinator. III. Installation a. Remove existing PVC window louvers and install A/C window unit. Remaining windows and louvers must be operational post installation. Ensure that the new a/c installation is weatherproof. d. If condensate drain piping is required, use a PVC pipe with an elbow 6 above the ground. e. Paint color shall match the existing color. IV. Electrical a. Electrical work shall include all work required to take power from the electrical panel to the new receptacle. b. The contractor shall verify that there is sufficient power and circuit breaker space in the buildings electrical panel to install the a/c units listed. c. If necessary, the electrical contractor shall install a separate a/c sub-panel to accommodate all new a/c units for that building
