Site work and paving for a civil project in Port Orchard, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
This contract is a roadway improvement project which provides for resurfacing and widening of the existing roadway providing for two 11-foot travel lanes and 6-foot shoulders and installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips, new conveyance ditches, and bioretention facility on Glenwood Rd SW between SW Lake Helena Rd to SW Wildwood Rd. The contract also includes the replacement of an existing 60-inch diameter culvert pipe with a fish passable concrete box culvert. The work proposed consists of preparation, excavation, erosion control and planting, paving, storm sewer and water quality facilities, culvert replacement, traffic safety and control, and other related work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. Question Deadline: 02/06/2024, Any prospective Bidder having questions or desire an explanation or interpretation of the Bid Documents are requested to contact Theresa Smith, Project Manager, at tsmith@kitsap.gov by close of business 5 business days preceding the bid opening. The engineer's estimate ranges from $1,750,000 to $2,250,000. Prospective Bidders Are Hereby Notified That They Are Solely Responsible for Ensuring Timely Delivery of Their Bid to the Place of Bid Opening. All Bid Proposals Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Proposal Surety Bond Made Payable to Kitsap County Department of Public Works in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) Of the Amount of Such Bid Proposal. Should the Successful Bidder Fail to Enter Into Such Contract and Furnish Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds Within the Time Stated in the Special Provisions, the Bid Proposal Bond Shall Be Forfeited to Kitsap County Department of Public Works. Kitsap County reserves the right to award the bid in a manner and on a basis, which will best serve the County, taking into consideration the Bidder Responsibility Statement included with the bids and the requirements of the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications and the Contract Provisions The Award of the Contract, if Made, Shall Be Made to the Responsible Bidder Submitting the Lowest Responsive Bid, Based Upon the Total Sum of the Extension of Unit Prices for the Bid Items. Each Proposal or Bid Shall Be Completely Sealed in a Separate Envelope, Properly Addressed as Stated Above, With the Name and Address of the Bidder and the Name of the Project Plainly Written on the Outside of the Envelope. A Complete Bid Proposal Shall Include the Following: 1. Proposal Form 2. Bid Bond 3. Bidder Responsibility Statement 4. Certification of Compliance With Wage Payment Statutes 5. Non-collusion Affidavit 6. Subcontractor List 7. Proposal for Incorporating Recycled Materials Into the Project All of the Above Items Must Be Complete in All Respects, Including Signatures (Notarized Where Required).
