Tier 3 Pump Station Upgrades. - The Work under this Project consists of the rehabilitation of three sanitary sewer pump stations. Locations- Portsmouth DPU Operations Center - 430 Meandor Road, Portsmouth, VA o The Conference will start at Portsmouth DPU Operatoins Center to provide a project overview. The completed Work will provide the Owner with installation of a new control panel with a programmable logic controllers (PLC), operator interface terminal (OIT), wet well pressure transducers/float, new pumps, and miscellaneous structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation repairs 3 of the Owner's sanitary sewer pump stations. 2. Work includes: a. Establish bypass pumping to successfully complete the Work. b. Install new indoor control/starter panel. c. Perform demolition and modification to the wet well to accommodate a new pressure transducer within a stilling well and new float backup system. d. Convert existing high-level float alarm from a normally open circuit to a normally closed circuit. e. Install new emergency bypass pump connection in wet well. f. Install building interior and exterior lighting. g. Install terminal box disconnects for simplified access to equipment. h. Replace unit heaters and control room/wet well ventilation systems. i. Install new dry well and wet well access hatches. j. Install Owner-provided and Contractor procured pumps. Installation to include replacing/modifying pump support pads, valves, and piping to the complete the installation of the pumps. k. Replace dry well lighting fixtures and install LED lighting. l. High-level float conduit tripping hazard removal. m. Install wet well and dry well coating systems
