In order to be eligible to submit a Bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following disciplines: C008 General Construction; or C009 General Construction/Alterations; or C032 HVACR Further, in the event the Bidder is not classified by the DPMC in the below listed disciplines, the Bidder shall be required to contract with subcontractor(s) that are classified in the below discipline, and such subcontractor(s) shall be required to be name in the bid and supporting documentation provided as per the bid instructions and applicable law. C008 General Construction C009 General Construction/Alterations C029 Structural Steel (Major Trade Subcontractor) C032 HVACR (Major Trade Subcontractor) C030 Plumbing (Major Trade Subcontractor) C047 Electrical (Major Trade Subcontractor) C043 Control Systems (Specialty Trade Subcontractor) Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the "Elmwood Park Board of Education" for not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if awarded the contract for the Project, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 etseq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
