The work to be performed includes the following: sanitary sewer collection system repairs, concrete pavement replacement, storm sewer repairs, support of snow operations, and other various tasks as needed. This contract will function on an 'On Call' basis and the winning bidder must be able to respond to emergency work both day and night. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids. The City of Mexico hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. If this contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility of the City, Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of award of the contract. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner's budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner; however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in their interest.
