1. The Contractor shall staff and operate the fifteen (15) existing Manned Convenience Centers of Florence County; 2. The Contractor shall provide all compactors, dumpsters, containers, and trucks necessary for sufficient collection, storage, transportation, and disposal of household garbage, cardboard, yard debris, bulk wastes, white goods, used motor oil, lead-acid batteries, used tires, and electronics; 3. The Contractor will maintain the Manned Convenience Centers Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for a total of seventy-two (72) hours per week, except on agreed upon holidays. MCC's will be closed on Sundays; 4. Trucking and disposal of the collected solid waste under permit to a suitable sanitary landfill agreed upon by both parties; 5. Recyclables become the property of the Contractor upon placement in the contractor's container and shall be transported to a processed at a Materials Recovery Facility for utilization by end-use purchasers, as agreed upon by both parties; 6. Under County approval, develop and implement a public awareness program to promote recycling; 7. Any other personnel, equipment, or services required for the efficient collection and disposal of solid waste for County residents, and the efficient processing of recyclable materials; Question Deadline 02/14/2024 at 5:00 PM ET All questions pertaining to this RFP must be submitted in writing via electronically. The initial term of the contract resulting from this request for proposal, shall begin on July 1, 2024 and shall run for an initial term of 5 years, until June 30, 2029. The parties thereafter shall have the option to renew this agreement for three (3) additional five (5) year terms, one term at a time, but only upon the mutual agreement of both parties.
