**As of March 13, 2024, the project was awarded to Phillips Paving LLC (low bidder), but the awarded amount is not available.** This project consists of paving and resurfacing of an existing asphalt and gravel area to restore deteriorated asphalt work due to prior construction between the Head House and the West Chemical Building. This project will include removing existing subgrade, asphalt, and pavement, installing full-depth pavement, curb installation and removal, pavement markings, the adjustment and/or reconstruction of storm inlets, water valves, and manholes, and restoration including topsoil and grass seeding. Except as provided in Section 102.07 of the City of Akron, Construction and Materials Specifications, 2008 Edition, each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of 10% of bids on a solvent bank, or a bid bond in like amount, acceptable to the City of Akron, as a guarantee, that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into. Except as provided in Section 34.09 of the City's Code of Ordinance, the Proposer to whom the Agreement is awarded will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price for the faithful performance of the contract. The performance and payment bond shall remain in full effect until Final Completion of the Project.
