Site work for a water / sewer project in Nevada, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This Main Tile Repair Project consists of three separate construction divisions. Division 1 deals with work on private land that has received funding from IDALS. Division 1 includes construction of approximately 360 linear feet of 36" diameter RCP tile, crushing the old Main Tile, and connections of existing private tile to the repaired facility. Division 2 is construction across Story County Road ROW and consists of constructing approximately 80 linear feet of 36" diameter steel pipe, jack and bored under 170th St, and filling and plugging the existing tile. Division 3 deals with work on private land and consists of constructing approximately 100 linear feet of 36" diameter RCP tile, including crushing the existing tile and connection of private tile to the repaired facility. Time for Commencement and Completion of Work. Work on the Repair shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Trustees, and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially complete on or before October 1, 2024. Damages in the amount of $500.00 per day will be assessed for each day the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Section 468.35 of the Iowa Code in the amount equal to five percent of the total amount of the bid. The Drainage District Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
