Project Description: The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to perform Hidden Hills & Caswell Lakes Road Improvements. 35472-1815 The Matanuska-Susitna Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any and all technicalities or informalities it deems appropriate. Award of this project is subject to the availability of funding. Time is of the essence. Work shall be completed in one continuous timeframe after utility relocations are completed, with the exception of a seasonal shutdown as described above. Substantial completion shall be achieved by 7/31/25. Final completion shall be achieved by 12/15/25. Estimated Schedule A magnitude is less than $2,700,000. Estimated Schedule B magnitude is less than $1,500,000. Estimated Total Project magnitude is less than $4,200,000. Any bid exceeding $50,000 for total of all base items and alternates shall be accompanied by a certified check, money order, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of at least 5% of the total Base Bid amount, made payable to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Palmer, Alaska, with good and sufficient surety or sureties acceptable to the Borough. Bid Guarantees will be held until the Agreement is executed or for 60 days whichever is less. Power-of Attorney for the person signing the Bid Bond for the Surety must be submitted with the Bid Bond. For any bid exceeding $50,000 for total of all base items and alternates, the successful Bidder shall furnish the Purchasing Officer a Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Agreement and shall maintain the Bond in force during the continuance of the Agreement including the one-year warranty period, unless otherwise specified.
