Renovation of an educational facility in Chester, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work to include the removal of existing hollow metal door, frame, hardware, and portion of masonry wall, with temporary removal of exit signage for reinstallation. New work to include the installation of new hollow metal door, frame, hardware, gypsum board over metal stud soffit, masonry infill with new steel lintel, painting, cast aluminum signage, and recessed can lighting. The successful bidder shall comply with the provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, specifically including the payment of the applicable prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics performing work under the contract. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required. Bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, considering conformity with specifications, terms of delivery, and quality and serviceability, as determined by the Board. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in the bidding process. Any such decision shall be considered final. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner.
