The project consists of replacing the existing ball field lighting. Replace fixtures on existing poles. New wiring, new Main Panelboard and new switches will be installed. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check for 5% or bid bond for 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Owner. A performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner and Architect/Engineer will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Undersigned agrees that, if awarded the Contract, the project will be substantially completed by the dates, as defined in Bidding Information & Requirements ñ ìAdvertisement for Bidî, and further agrees that from compensation otherwise to be paid, the Owner may retain the sum shown in the following paragraph for each day, weekends and holidays included, that the work remains incomplete, which sums are agreed upon as the proper measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain per diem by failure of the Undersigned to complete the work at the time stipulated, and this sum is not to be construed as in any sense a penalty. Liquidated Damages: $100 per calendar day. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities of any bid. The Owner also reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as may be determined by the Owner Bid to be awarded after March 4 th board meeting. Construction start date will be April 1, 2024 with construction to be completed by August 18, 2024.
