Demolition and Backfill of the Former Clinic Building- 224 East Main Street, Carlinville, Illinois (former Clinic Building) Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, made payable to Macoupin County. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid Work shall be completed within 60 calendar days. Work shall be scheduled to occur at the contractors convenience, except that overtime work necessary to meet the schedule due to the contractors failure to properly prosecute the work shall be required. Critical Dates: All Work shall be completed by 45 calendar days Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by duly authorized company acceptable to Owner. 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec.39s-1 et. seq Macoupin County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for Sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act." Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206 or on the online. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form, Section 00300, of the Project Manual. During the performance of this contract, the Contract shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race color, creed, national origin, gender, age or any other basis in violation of any applicable law, rule, regulation or ordinance, and shall otherwise perform in accordance with all such laws, rules, regulations and ordinances.
