Renovation of a mixed-use development in Alsip, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees for a period of ninety days after the scheduled time of closing bids. All proposals shall be sealed in an envelope, addressed to the Village of Alsip, attention Clerk's office. The name and address of the bidder and the name of the project shall also appear on the outside of the envelope. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bid opening, or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the President and Board of Trustees their best interests will be promoted thereby. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for ninety (90) days after the time set for opening bids. Bidders will be required to comply with all laws, including those relating to the employment of labor and the payment of the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform such work, also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work (including, but not necessarily limited to Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 276a through 276a-5) et seq. the "Prevailing Wage Act") as ascertained by the Village shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or to perform such work. The contractor shall also comply with all applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Remove existing roof systems down to the metal deck and dispose of them properly. o Inspect decking, degraded decking will be repaired or replaced at an addition to the contract per SF unit pricing. o Remove any abandoned penetrations and patch decking with like-in-kind. o Mechanically fasten (2) layers of 2.6" polyisocyanurate insulation to the structurally sloped steel deck to achieve a minimum R-30 value per current code. o Furnish and install new wood blocking at perimeters to accommodate new insulation heights. All rotten or deteriorated existing wood nailer will be replaced at a unit cost per LF. o Install a single-ply 90-mil (white) TPO roof system. New Membrane will be fully adhered per manufacturers specifications. o At the penthouse wall, roof curb, and penetration new TPO flashings will be installed and properly terminated according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines. o Furnish and install new protective walkway pads at the roofs access point(s) according to the manufacturer's specifications. o Furnish and install new 24-gauge prefinished steel edge metal at the roof perimeters. o Furnish and install new 24g shop fabricated gutter and downspouts at the penthouse perimeter edge. o Upon completion and final payment, we will furnish a manufacturer's 30-year warranty.
