Replacement of existing concrete pavement panel segments of streets of the 2020 Bond Program. The project involves the proposed replacement of pavement panel segments identified by a pavement surface evaluation and rating assessment on citywide principal arterial system currently in process. Background: Since 1990 the City of Lake Jackson's Capital Project Bond Program has become the mechanism by which the older developments have been rehabilitated or reconstructed to the current infrastructure standard of the City and statutory regulations. The latest 2020 Bond Program assessed the various areas of the City through a volunteer citizen commission that determined a general need for concrete pavement panel replacement of citywide arterial streets based on PASER condition inspection, rating, and prioritization of projects. The rehabilitation proposed at this time is the replacement of existing typical 6-inch reinforced concrete pavement on lime stabilized subgrade with standard 8-inch reinforced concrete pavement on 6-inch cement stabilized recycled concrete or cement stabilized sand base. The replacement may include adjoining or adjacent street curb, sidewalks, and ADA ramps where applicable.
The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any or all submittals when, in its opinion, it is determined to be in the public interest to do so. This Request of Qualifications (RFQ) does not obligate the City to pay any costs incurred by any respondent in the submission of a SOQor in making necessary studies or design for the preparation thereof, or for procuring or contracting for the services to be furnished under this RFQ The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
